Indeed all praise is due to Allah the Lord of all that exists. May Allahs Peace and Blessings be upon His noble Messenger, Muhammad, his family and Companions.
From the commandments of Allah upon His servants is that we worship Him. From this worship is that we supplicate him and remember Him with words of glorification and praise. This has been emphasized and commanded in many places of the Quran and authentic Ahadith. For example, Allah said:
And remember Allah much, so that you may be successful.(62:10)
Also, Allah said:
Invoke Me; I will respond to your (invocation). Verily, those who scorn My worship, they will surely enter Hell in humiliation. (40:60)
Prophet Muhammad (SAW) also said in an authentic Hadith:
Supplication is worship.
In another narration he said to his Companions:
Shall I not inform you all of the best of your deeds that are (also) the purest in the Sight of your Lord, which raise your status, which are better for you than spending your gold and silver (in the way of Allah), and better for you than meeting your enemies and slaying them and being slain by them (i.e. Jihacl). They (the Companions) said:Of course. He then said:Remembrance of Allah, the Exalted.
